1. General information
To acquire knowledge and skills in at least one of the fields of work in which the professional performance of a graduate in Human Nutrition and Dietetics is required . Act in at least one of the professional fields of the specialist in human nutrition and dietetics (clinical, community, catering). These approaches and objectives are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/) , in such a way that the acquisition of the learning results of the subject provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement, most especially with the "Goal number 3" of the aforementioned agenda.
2. Learning results

Solves practical problems related to nutrition and food in the specific field of their practices.

Prepares reports and completes records related to the professional intervention of the Dietitian-Nutritionist in the scope of the internship performed.

Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals, health or industry professionals and the media, knowing how to use information and communication technologies, especially those related to nutrition and life habits.

Knows, critically evaluates and knows how to use and apply sources of information related to nutrition, food, lifestyles and health aspects.

Is able to support the scientific principles that sustain the intervention of the Dietitian-Nutritionist, subjecting their professional performance to scientific evidence.

Recognizes the essential elements of the Dietitian-Nutritionist profession, including ethical principles, legal responsibilities and the practice of the profession, applying the principle of social justice to professional practice and developing it with respect for people, their habits, beliefs and cultures.

Develops the profession with respect to other professionals, acquiring skills to work in a team.

Knows the limits of the profession and its competencies, identifying when interdisciplinary treatment or referral to another professional is necessary.

Acquires and develops transversal competences, in the realization of internships in clinical, administrative or public health fields related to human nutrition and dietetics, in health and in disease (hospitals, primary care and social-health care centres, community organizations, food and catering industries).
3. Syllabus
September: session on general aspects: competencies, guidelines to follow, calendar of activities and the entities with which the university an agreement; selection and assignment of internships in the chosen entity. During the internship, the academic tutor may use APPENDIX 4-Student's tutoring follow-up sheet to organize and evaluate their tutorials.
At the beginning of the internship, the academic tutor will provide the tutor of the collaborating entity with APPENDIX 10-Control of attendance at the internship institution and APPENDIX 3-Evaluation questionnaire entity tutor. May: The academic tutor will evaluate the student's follow-up by means of ANNEX 5-Academic tutor evaluation questionnaire and the internship report submitted by means of ANNEX 6-Internship report evaluation questionnaire. The grade obtained in the questionnaires (entity tutor, academic tutor internship follow-up and memory) will be reflected in ANNEX 7-Final student grade , to be completed by the academic tutor and submitted to the Coordinator. In case of not having data for the evaluation of any of the parts, a grade of Not Submitted will be given.

4. Academic activities
Professional internship in a centre that has an agreement with the University of Zaragoza under the supervision of a person in charge of the internship in the centre.
These internships may be carried out in one or more entities such as hospitals, outpatient clinical centres , primary and community care centres, social and health care centres and patient care centres, laboratories, food and catering companies, sports centres and clubs, as long as the competencies of the subject can be achieved. Total: 480 hours. This total includes all the work that the student must do to be able to carry out these internships either on-site or off-site, depending on the characteristics of the institution.
5. Assessment system
The evaluation is weighted according to the number of hours performed in one or more chosen entities (100% final grade).
The academic tutor will perform this evaluation taking the following into account:
a) Personalized tutorials in which the academic tutor carries out a continuous monitoring of the activities, attitudes and competences acquired by the student, as well as the achievement of the learning results.
This follow-up will be reflected in the student's follow-up and evaluation questionnaire and will account for 35% of this grade . Document ANNEX 5-Academic tutor evaluation questionnaire.
B) Evaluation report sent by the entity's tutor to the academic tutor at the end of the internship. It evaluates the degree of the student's performance in the entity and will represent 35% of this grade. Document ANNEX 3-Academic tutor evaluation questionnaire.
C) Report of activities carried out by the student. Report on the activities carried out, the competencies acquired, and skills developed, their reflections and individual contributions. The structure is defined in ANNEX 8- Characteristics of the Internship Report. The quality of the writing and content, the ability to search for additional information and the adaptation to the recommended format will be taken into account and will account for 30% of this grade.
